North Sails was founded in 1957 by American yachtsman and Olympic gold medallist Lowell North. North was also an engineer specialising in the construction of the fastest racing sails. Year after year, Lowell North and his team introduced innovative technologies that have tamed the wind, conquered the sea, explored the oceans and triumphed in competitions. Today, the spirit of Lowell lives on in the North Sails clothing lines, designed and manufactured so that our customers can focus on what really matters to them: tackling the oceans or navigating through the sea of life.
